For decades, owners and guests of Southern California Beach Club have returned to enjoy a relaxing, resort-like experience in one of the most beautiful beach towns in the country. Here are a few reviews from our guests.

Too noisy, didn't feel safe. Too many crazy homeless adults in the beach area. Tents full of people on the move up and down the beach. We cut our week short because of it!It's a smoke free building but car exhaust and pot smoke & cigarettes smoke kept getting in our room. NO AIR-CONDITIONING! To cut the August temperature and night noise.

Seems like every week we come here for our vacation week 32 there is always maintenance or something breaking the Jacuzzi hasn’t worked in years on our week. And it’s always the cities’s fault, or not to Code.

Last minute notice regarding hot water shut off followed by all water being shut off for an extended amount of time on Tuesday. Management should have know on Tuesday evening that water would again be turned off on Wednesday. No notice given until Wednesday morning (9’ish) once again giving little notice for families to plan accordingly. Was prepared for possible construction noise/limited access to amenities. But lack of water for extended period of time with no notice to plan accordingly is not appropriate. At the very least, bottled water should have been made available along with better communication about planned water outages . This was a major management failure.

Great location. Very spacious. No air conditioning.

This is a great resort for our family to be a part of for many years. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful but there are a few who could use some re-training. The location is the best being right across from the beach. Wi-fi is lacking as well

I’ve been coming to the Southern California Beach Club for about 30 years now. There are a few things that keep bringing me back. There’s no other location that’s any better. To be right near the beach is epic. In walking distance to the pier, farmers market, shopping and numerous restaurants. The units are well appointed with everything you need. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is tight and always difficult to get in the tiny spots. My biggest problem that I wish the owners would address is lack of privacy/safety. There are no air conditioning in the units which many say isn’t a problem with the ocean breeze. But you have to leave your doors and windows open all the time. There’s no screens on the doors in certain units. I hate having to constantly have other guests walking past your doors with them wide open. Also the noise of the traffic below or other guests can be loud. I wish the owners would address this issue. I have small children so having to keep the doors always open is a safety concern to me. They either need screens on the doors or air conditioning.

We enjoy our annual trip so much!! The oven broke this time and they had a brand new one installed within an hour. Easy walk ability to tons of restaurants. We love having coffee on the beach every morning 🙂
