Location, location, location. Right on the sand this Resort is fantastic. Everything to do is within walking distance, even a five minute walk to the train station. The associates are friendly, helpful, and professional.

Not sure why I’m getting this but I will give you my feedback. GPX over booked this and canceled my week there 2 days before check in, so super not happy. I booked this a long time ago and was just canceled because GPX sold the unit to a new owner and as incentive gave them the use of it for the first year free. Nicole has been working very hard to get me some kind of compensation as I ended up having to book an air bnb so my families vacation wasn’t completely ruined. As an owner of 2 units at this property it is unbelievable we just get canceled like that. 18 years I have been coming there. I asked for GPX to pay for my air bnb, they said no. Now I’m asking for a year of maintenance fees be paid on one of my units for compensation. GPX has done nothing to try to make this right. They offered me a hotel room next to the freeway and decided that was good enough, sorry it’s truly not. Very disappointing.

I had stayed here quite a few years ago (possibly 25-30 years ago TBH). I remembered the great location, the tight parking spaces downstairs on the ground level, and the great staff. I did remember, however, that there is no HVAC in the units. Right next to the beach who needs it, right? Well, fast forward to present day. With hotter summers here in SoCal and monsoonal conditions occurring in the summer season nowadays, the humidity will kill you. With a tropical hurricane offshore and its accompanying heat and humidity blowing along the coastline, we had to leave 3 days early. The humidity made it difficult to breathe comfortably. (The spouse and I have a touch of asthma.) The rooms are equipped with manual stand-up fans (tucked away in the closets) but these were just not enough to offset the high temperatures. I would recommend this place anytime other than summer due to the ocean breezes keeping everything relatively mild. We stayed here the first week of September 2026 when they had record breaking heat. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit so these face the street (Pacific Street, the street that runs parallel to the ocean in Oceanside). The units, while a little on small side, are well maintained for a resort this old. The staff are all friendly and most helpful. Unfortunately, our fridge broke down upon check-in but they replaced it once they were made aware of it.

Excellent Customer Service. Southern California Beach Club offers every guest superior and quality accommodations from the front desk staff, Manager, housekeeping and Maintenance Staff
I travel a lot staying at Grand Pacific Resorts and RCI Resorts. And SCBC surpasses most of them. I was just at RiverPoint in Napa Valley in August and only 1 person at the front desk actually smiled.
The beauty, comfort and relaxation at SCBC makes it a Silver Crown Resort. BUT, the STAFF makes it a Gold Crown Resort

I love Southern California Beach Club! And I especially love the management and hospitality team here. They are the best!!

Stay is great so far! We didn't get new towels yesterday, though. We just need a couple of hand towels, kitchen towels, and a bath floor towel. Thanks!

Love this place, been coming for 30 years

Want a week at the beach where you can overlook the ocean while you eat on your private balcony? How about walking down a short flight of stairs and only crossing a 1-way street to get to the beach? How about a place that has beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and umbrellas free of charge? You found it, it's the Southern CA Beach Club!! Driving to the beach? I feel sorry for ya!
